The National Archives of Australia has extended its reading room hours in Adelaide to offer researchers an extra day of access to original records.
'This will align our operating hours with State Records of South Australia, with whom we share premises in Leigh Street, Adelaide, and help avoid any confusion,' said Director Anne Piggott.
'This is another step towards our aim of a collaborative coordinated service where the public can access records about the three tiers of government, local, state and Commonwealth, at the one location.'
As from Tuesday October 2 the reading room hours have been extended by one day. The reading room is now open four days a week, from Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
