Information management and data capabilities
Information management and data capabilities can be used by employees and their organisations to determine what skills and knowledge are needed to create and manage information and data effectively to meet business and accountability requirements. The capabilities have been developed into an interactive tool that can identify capabilities by role, capability and level.
It facilitates professional development planning for individuals and their organisations. It also assists professional bodies and educational providers with their professional development activities and curricula.
Note that the Information management and data capabilities tool supersedes the Digital information and records management capability matrix. All relevant capabilities from the capability matrix have been adapted for inclusion in the new information management and data capabilities tool.
A beta version has been released to help facilitate feedback on useability, accessibility and content. The Archives continues to engage with professional bodies and Government agencies to finalise content around professional development activities, with specific focus on the 'next steps' component of the tool.
