Memory of a Nation, the National Archives' exhibition of treasures, has undergone a significant revamp. We've added Touch and See, a new computer interactive that provides a unique way to explore some key archives of our nation. We’ve also added new objects to our displays, many of which have never been shown before.
Come and see music albums and books banned by the Australian Government in the 1960s. Learn about how 170,000 refugees were successfully settled in Australia after World War II. See Harold Holt’s briefcase and discover why whale teeth are now in the National Archives.
The exhibition can be seen at the National Archives of Australia, Queen Victoria Terrace, Parkes ACT 2600. A sample of the new objects is showcased here. Click on an image to view the enlargement.
